Ted Cuppett
Ted Cuppett, CPA has over 30 years of experience serving clients. He was the Hospice/Home Health Niche Leader for Dixon-Hughes, PLLC from 2001 until August 2010 and serves all types of healthcare clients, providing a vast array of accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services. Clients served include hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, home health agencies, physicians and clinics, and others. His experience with healthcare providers includes auditing, strategic and organizational planning, corporate compliance, reimbursement, litigation support, mergers and acquisitions, and tax filings for taxable and tax-exempt entities. Ted is a frequent speaker for national and state healthcare organizations and frequently authors on healthcare financial matters. He served on the AICPA “Healthcare Expert Panel” and the “Healthcare Audit and Accounting Guide Revision Task Force”. He is a previous member of the AICPA MCS Executive Committee, MCS Practice Standards Subcommittee, and numerous healthcare committees and task forces of the AICPA. Ted currently maintains memberships in numerous organizations including the AICPA and American Health Lawyers Association.
Ryan Lindsay
Ryan Lindsay, CPA, CHFP, CGMA, a current Director at Gray Griffith & Mays, a.c., has over 15 years of experience in accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services. He currently focuses on attestation engagements, compliance, prospective financial statements, and strategic planning. A significant portion of his practice is serving healthcare providers. Effective August 1, 2018, Ryan will be a Director with The Health Group, LLC, focusing significant time on the healthcare clients currently served by The Health Group, LLC in addition to the healthcare clients at Gray Griffith & Mays, a.c. He is a member of the AICPA, Healthcare Financial Management Association, and West Virginia Society of CPAs.
Christy Conaway

Christy Conaway has over 20 years of experience in public accounting. Her primary focus at the firm is serving healthcare clients, including hospitals, nursing homes, RHC/FQHCS, home health agencies and hospices. During the past 10 years, Christy has principally provided cost reporting and related services and has become a frequent speaker on these subjects. Other experience includes nonprofit tax return preparation and financial statement audits and compilations. Her experience with a variety of healthcare providers and services to those providers enhances all the services with which she is associated and provides substantial benefit to attendees at education programs. Christy is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Health Care Compliance Association. (HCCA), American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), and West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (WVSCPA).
Keith Myers
Keith Myers, CPA has 30 years of experience in public accounting and private industry, including serving as Controller for a regional company with responsibility for financial statement preparation and reporting to management and investors. He spent several years of his career as a financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments and operating his own individual CPA practice. Other experience includes working directly for healthcare providers, including nursing homes, hospitals, and DME; providing accounting and financial reporting activities. Keith joined The Health Group, LLC in 2015 and provides accounting, tax, and cost reporting support services. Keith is a member of both the AICPA and West Virginia Society of CPAs.
Amanda Makon
Amanda Makon is a Senior Associate with The Health Group, LLC with over 14 years of experience in accounting. Her primary focus at the firm is serving hospice and home health agency clients. During the past four years with THG, Amanda has principally provided cost reporting, CAP reporting, and reimbursement-related services. Other healthcare client experience includes small business accounting and bookkeeping, as well as financial statement compilations. Amanda is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Health Care Compliance Association. (HCCA), and West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (WVSCPA).
Jason McClain
Jason McClain has over 20 years of experience in accounting and auditing, including public and private accounting, with 15 year in the healthcare environment. His public accounting career has focused in the area of consulting and cost reporting for healthcare providers with emphasis on home health agencies and hospices. He has expanded his skill sets to include tax preparation and general accounting services. Jason supplements his experience and growing skill sets by attending workshops and continuing education classes focused on the most current accounting procedures, requirements and changes in the healthcare environment. His experience in both public and private accounting sectors allows him to have a broad range of skills necessary to work in most areas, while continuing to focus in the healthcare field.

Ploy is a 2019 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand. Before joining The Health Group, LLC, she was employed by Nestle Thailand, Mountain State Endodontics, and Premier Tax Consulting. Ploy provides tax, accounting and audit, and cost reporting services on behalf of numerous healthcare clients served by The Health Group, LLC and our affiliate, Gray Griffith & Mays – Morgantown, PLLC.
Bill Johnson
William (Bill) Johnson, CPA, MBA, CHFP is a 2010 graduate of Cedarville University (B.A. -Accounting) and a 2017 graduate of Marshall University (MBA). He has more than 10 years of experience in accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services. He specializes in healthcare and non-profit attestation engagements. Bill provides services to a variety of clients including hospices, Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHC’s), hospitals, nonprofit organizations, privately held businesses, and manufacturers. He is a member of the AICPA, Healthcare Financial Management Association, and West Virginia Society of CPAs.
Jared Proctor
Jared Proctor, CPA, MPA is a 2016 graduate of West Virginia University (Master of Professional Accountancy). He provides accounting, auditing, and consulting services principally for healthcare and tax-exempt organizations. Jared’s healthcare clients include hospices and Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHC’s). He is a member of the AICPA and West Virginia Society of CPAs.
Chase Andrew Cuppett
Chase Cuppett, BSBA, MPA, is a 2021 graduate of West Virginia and secured his MPA in 2022 (Master of Professional Accountancy). He provides cost reporting, hospice CAP reporting and management, tax, and accounting services provided by The Health Group, LLC and our affiliate, Gray Griffith & Mays – Morgantown, PLLC. Chase serves a wide variety of clients located locally and across the country.
Erica Taylor
Erica Taylor is a graduate of Fairmont State University (BSBA in accounting and business administration). She joined The Health Group, LLC in 2021 with significant experience in accounting systems management and financial reporting. With a special interest in small business and human resource management, Erica provides tax, bookkeeping, and payroll services for clients of The Health Group, LLC as well as our affiliate, Gray Griffith & Mays – Morgantown, PLLC. She is involved in cost report and CAP support services for clients of The Health Group, LLC.

Maraya Williamson, MPA is a 2015 graduate of West Virginia University (Master’s in Professional Accountancy). She joined the team in 2021 after six years at a large public accounting firm in Charleston, WV, where she focused on the healthcare industry. Maraya specializes in healthcare and non-profit attestation engagements provided by The Health Group, LLC and our affiliate, Gray Griffith & Mays – Morgantown, PLLC. Her clients include large and small health care organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and employee benefit plans. Maraya is a member of the AICPA and the West Virginia Society of CPAs.
Scott A. Fowler
Scott Fowler, CPA, is a 2012 graduate of Fairmont State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and was certified in 2016. He joined The Health Group, LLC in 2022. He has over 5 years’ experience in the accounting field including tax preparation for corporations and partnerships, local Government financial management, and auditing of local governments and not for profits (NFPs). His focus is on tax preparation and review, as well as financial reporting. He is also involved in cost reporting, tax, and accounting services provided by The Health Group, LLC and our affiliate, Gray, Griffith, & Mays – Morgantown, PLLC.
