The early response to our Hospice Financial Management Academy, scheduled for September 13-14, 2021, has been overwhelming. We have ten (10) remaining spots available for the program (we limit attendance to maximize the benefit of the program). Early registration ends on July 15, 2021. We were able to secure extremely attractive rates at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino; however, few rooms remain available at the block rate at Paris Las Vegas, which now are approximately less than 50% of market rates. No Saturday night rooms remain available at the blocked rate at Paris Las Vegas, as the Saturday night block is full. On September 13, 2021, the Las Vegas Raiders will be playing for the first time in their new stadium, which has caused a significant increase in Saturday and Sunday market room rates. We have been able to secure additional rooms at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, which is attached to Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, including Saturday night rooms at rates substantially less than market price.

PRF REPORTING
As you should know by now, reporting for the use of Provider Relief Funds (“PRF”) received between April 10, 2020, and June 30, 2020, is due on or before September 30, 2021. With the release of the reporting dates, several changes (some significant) were announced regarding components of the filing, including the computation of lost revenues. Early filing is not as important as quality reporting.
Whoever is responsible for the filing for your hospice should carefully review updated information regarding the required filing, required computations, and supporting information. We will be individually communicating with our clients in the next couple of weeks to better ensure preparation for the filing, and the Las Vegas program will provide attendees with illustrative reporting documentation. Many hospices may have filed by the date of our program (September 13-14, 2021); however, many hospices will be reporting the last couple of weeks in September as the reporting period goes through June 30, 2021.
